Delete Your Account

Your writing is yours to keep, and yours to take back

You can ask us to delete your Six Pages account and the data connected to it at any time. You do not need to give a reason.

Delete your account in the app

The quickest way is from inside the app, and you don't need to contact anyone to do it. Open the menu, go to account settings, and choose Delete My Account. This removes your account and the writing connected to it directly.

You can also delete individual entries at any time without closing your account.

Request deletion by email

You can also ask us to delete your account by email. Send a message from the address associated with your account to the address below, with the word "Delete" in the subject line. Using your account email helps us confirm the request is yours.

What gets deleted

When you close your account, we delete or anonymize the personal data associated with it, including:

Certain records may be retained where required or permitted for safety or legal reasons. In particular, if you have used the crisis support feature, the crisis interaction log may be retained even after account deletion, as described in our Privacy Policy.

How long it takes

Deleting from inside the app takes effect straight away. Copies held in our providers' routine backups expire within 30 days, which is the honest floor — that timing belongs to the backup systems rather than to us, and we would rather tell you than imply we can beat it.

We do not keep an anonymised copy of your writing for research or product improvement. There is no such copy. When it's gone, it's gone.

For full details on how we handle your data, please see our Privacy Policy.
