Terms of Service
Six Pages Studio, LLC
1. Agreement
By downloading, creating an account for, or using The Six Pages ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.
These Terms are a binding agreement between you and Six Pages Studio, LLC, an Oklahoma limited liability company ("we," "us," "our"). The Privacy Policy and the Wellness Disclaimer are incorporated into these Terms and govern your use of the App alongside them.
2. What the App is, and what it is not
The Six Pages is a reflective writing application. It gives you a structured six-page writing sequence, an anchor-based framework for beginning, and an AI companion that responds to what you write — in text, and if you choose, out loud.
It is not therapy. It does not create a therapeutic, clinical, counselling or fiduciary relationship of any kind. It is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition. It is not a crisis intervention service and it is not a substitute for professional mental health care, medical advice, legal advice, or any other professional service.
The AI that responds to you is software. It is not a therapist, a counselor, a crisis worker, or a person. You are told this when you create your account, again before your first voice conversation, and on the screen while you are speaking.
If you are in immediate danger, call 911 or your local emergency number. If you need to talk to someone, call or text 988 (the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline) or text HOME to 741741 (the Crisis Text Line). Outside the United States, findahelpline.com lists services in your country.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least eighteen years old. By creating an account you confirm that you are. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under eighteen, we will close it and delete its data.
The App is intended for people who are able to make their own decisions about their wellbeing and who understand what an AI companion is and is not, as described in these Terms and in the Wellness Disclaimer.
4. Your account
You create an account with a valid email address or a supported sign-in provider. You are responsible for the accuracy of what you provide, for keeping your credentials secure, for what happens under your account, and for telling us promptly if you think it has been compromised. Do not create an account for someone else without their explicit consent.
5. Subscription, trial and payment
The Six Pages is a paid subscription. There is a single price and a single tier.
- New accounts begin with a free trial. At the end of the trial the subscription begins automatically at the price shown in the app store at the time of purchase, unless you cancel before the trial ends.
- The subscription renews automatically each month until you cancel. You can cancel at any time through your Apple App Store or Google Play account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for.
- Payment is taken by Apple or Google, not by us. We never see or hold your card details.
- Refunds are handled by the store you bought through, under that store's policy. We cannot issue a refund for a purchase we did not process.
- If the price changes, we will tell you before the change affects you, and you will have the opportunity to cancel.
If your subscription lapses, your writing is not deleted. You keep access to your pages and your saved work. The parts of the App where the AI speaks with you are paused until the subscription resumes.
6. Crisis access is never gated
We promise the following, and we intend it to be binding on us. If the App detects that you may be in danger, you reach the crisis surface and its resources regardless of whether you have ever paid us, whether your trial has expired, whether your subscription has lapsed, and whether you are in any other way in good standing. There is no condition on it, and there never will be. A paywall will never stand between a person in this App and a phone number that can help them.
7. Permitted use
The App is licensed to you for personal, non-commercial use. Use it lawfully and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:
- Use the App for any commercial purpose without our written permission.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code.
- Use the App to generate content that is unlawful, or that threatens, harasses or abuses another person.
- Attempt to circumvent or disable security features, or to interfere with the App or its infrastructure.
- Attempt to reach data or systems that are not yours.
- Use automated means to access the App or to extract its content.
8. AI-generated responses
The responses you receive are generated by Claude, an AI model developed by Anthropic, PBC. By using the App you acknowledge:
- The responses are produced by software. No human writes them, reads them, or reviews them before you see them.
- They may be wrong, incomplete, out of date, or unsuited to your situation.
- They are not professional advice of any kind — not therapeutic, medical, legal, financial or otherwise.
- You are responsible for what you decide to do, including where a response influenced the decision.
- Your writing and the context of your session are sent to Anthropic for processing, as described in the Privacy Policy.
What the AI is given about you
The App does not send the AI a blank slate. Each time you write, it passes along context from your own earlier work in the App — what you wrote on previous pages, what you have said in this session, and a summary of where you have been — so that the response is not stranded from what came before. This is deliberate. It is what allows the App to hold the thread rather than meeting you as a stranger every time.
That context is your own writing, returned to your own conversation. It is not a profile, it is not built from anything you did not write, and it is not shared. There is a fuller explanation on our About Claude page.
9. Voice conversations
If you choose to speak instead of type, your speech is processed by ElevenLabs, a speech service, which turns your words into text and the AI's reply into sound. ElevenLabs does not decide what is said. The reply is generated by the same Anthropic models used on the written path.
- Your audio is not stored. It passes through, becomes text, and is gone.
- We have turned off transcript retention on our ElevenLabs agent, so ElevenLabs does not keep a record of the conversation.
- ElevenLabs states that it holds agreements with third-party model providers prohibiting them from training on customer content.
- The text of what was said is written into your own session in the App, so you can read it back. That copy is yours and you can delete it.
Before your first voice conversation the App shows you a notice describing all of this, which you must accept before you can speak. While you speak, the screen carries a visible label reading "Voice by ElevenLabs · not recorded." Voice processing is provided by ElevenLabs under its own terms of service and privacy policy.
10. Crisis support
The App watches for language suggesting you may be in danger. If it finds it, the App takes you to a dedicated crisis surface, tells you there are real people you can talk to, and gives you ways to reach them.
This is not a crisis line, a clinical service, or an emergency service. It is software. It cannot send help, it cannot call anyone for you, and it will not contact anyone on your behalf. If you are in immediate danger, call 911 or your local emergency number. Do not rely on this App in an emergency.
The record of that conversation
When the crisis surface is used, the full text of the conversation is stored as a crisis conversation record. By using the App you consent to this.
- It is kept for seven years from the date of the conversation, and is then deleted.
- It cannot be deleted from inside the App, and deleting your account does not delete it. This is the only thing in the App that works this way.
- It is not used for analytics, research, product improvement or model training.
We keep it for two reasons. If your wellbeing cannot afterwards be confirmed, it is the last known account of what you said. And it is the only record of what the App said back to you — which we want to exist, rather than to have been deleted, if the App ever fails someone. Section 6 of the Privacy Policy says more, and our Safety page explains the whole system in plain language.
11. Your content
What you write is yours. We do not claim ownership of it. By using the App you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store and process it for the sole purpose of operating the App for you — nothing else. That licence ends when you delete the content, except as to crisis conversation records under Section 10.
You can delete any entry, and your entire account, from inside the App. You do not have to ask us and you do not have to wait for us. Uninstalling the App does not delete your data; deleting your account does.
12. Our content
The Six Pages framework, the page structure and names, the anchor system, the written copy, the interface, the design and the underlying software are owned by Six Pages Studio, LLC and protected by intellectual property law. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute or make derivative works from any of it without our written permission.
13. Disclaimer of warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, THE ACCURACY OR RELIABILITY OF AI-GENERATED CONTENT, UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION, AND FREEDOM FROM UNAUTHORISED ACCESS.
We do not warrant that the App will meet your needs, that errors will be corrected, or that the App or its servers are free of harmful components.
14. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SIX PAGES STUDIO, LLC AND ITS OWNERS, OFFICERS AND AGENTS ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP, INCLUDING RELIANCE ON AI-GENERATED CONTENT, DECISIONS MADE IN LIGHT OF YOUR WRITING OR THE APP'S RESPONSES, INTERRUPTION OR UNAVAILABILITY, UNAUTHORISED ACCESS TO YOUR DATA, OR ANY HARM ARISING FROM THE CRISIS SUPPORT FEATURE OR ITS LIMITATIONS.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of certain damages, so parts of Sections 13 and 14 may not apply to you.
15. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Six Pages Studio, LLC and its owners, officers and agents from claims, liabilities, damages, losses and reasonable legal fees arising from your use of the App, your breach of these Terms, your violation of any law, or content you submit through the App.
16. Ending your use
You can close your account at any time from inside the App. Closing it deletes your writing, subject to the crisis conversation record exception in Section 10.
We may suspend or close your account if you have breached these Terms. Where we can do so safely and lawfully, we will tell you why and give you the opportunity to retrieve your writing first.
17. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. If a change materially affects you, we will tell you in the App or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use the App after that constitutes acceptance. The date of the current version is at the top.
18. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oklahoma, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Oklahoma, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.
19. Miscellaneous
If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the rest remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.
These Terms, with the Privacy Policy and the Wellness Disclaimer, are the entire agreement between you and us about the App, and supersede everything that came before.
