Before you begin
The Six Pages is a reflective writing app. It is not therapy, and it does not create a therapeutic or clinical relationship of any kind.
The AI that responds to your writing is not a therapist, counselor, or crisis worker. Its responses are generated by software. They are not professional advice.
This App is not a substitute for emergency services.
Reflective writing can bring up difficult feelings. Go at your own pace. Step away when you need to. Seek professional support if what comes up feels like more than you want to hold alone.
In the app, this notice appears before anything else, and it cannot be skipped. Tapping "I understand. I'm ready." confirms that you have read it, that you are at least 18 years old, and that you understand the nature and limitations of the App.
What this means in practice
- No diagnosis. The App does not identify, name or assess any condition, and nothing it says should be read as one.
- No treatment. It does not deliver any therapeutic protocol or clinical intervention, and it is not a medical device.
- No clinical oversight. No licensed clinician reviews your writing or the responses you receive. There is no clinician involved.
- No substitute for care. If you are in treatment, this sits alongside it. If you are not, this is not a replacement for finding someone.
- It cannot send help. The App does not contact emergency services, family members, or anyone else on your behalf.
If this app is becoming your only support
That is worth noticing, and worth saying out loud — to someone in your life, or to us. This was built for the space between the people who care about you, not instead of them. Everything in it that matters points outward.
